Deepl Translate
How to use translate with DeepL without payment
Limits:
• Document (.docx or .pdf) can’t be larger than 5MB – typically about 110 pages and not more.
First time only: Enable Developer Mode on Microsoft Word following the steps below:
on Mac:
1. On the Word menu, select Preferences.
2. Select Ribbon and Toolbar > Customize the Ribbon > Main Tabs.
3. Check Developer and select Save.
On Windows: On the File tab, go to Options > Customize Ribbon. Under Customize the Ribbon and under Main Tabs, select the Developer check box.
1. Translate Document on DeepL: Click on the button DeepL menu: documents from top bar. Browse the file, or drag and drop it in the left Translator window. Select the target language; and save into your preferred folder (eg: C:\Downloads\translatedITA.docx)
2. Open Translated Document in Word. (You will find a DeepL advertisement banner on header which you can’t edit or remove!) Save the file as .doc (eg: translatedITA.doc) and close Word.
3. Open translatedita.doc now and click on Developer on menu bar. Click on “Protect Form” with lock icon to unlock the protection of the document. Now you can right click on “DeepL Banner” on the header and delete the Bigger Deepl Banner! Right click again on remain “Translated with Deepl” banner and delete that as well. Now save the file as translatedita.docx to over-write the older banner-ridden file.
Congrats! Now you have a translated document without paying DeepL!
